Duxford Preschool is a small, welcoming and vibrant Ofsted-registered, graded Outstanding Preschool that cares and provides early education for children from the age of two ears and three months to five years old. We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, during term time only, and offer half day and full day sessions.
The Preschool is situated next to Duxford Community Primary School in a purpose built building. We have a beautiful outdoor space which can be accessed by the children throughout the day. Originally established in 1970, the Preschool has built up a well regarded and proven reputation for delivering high quality early years care and education to local families.
Children at Duxford Preschool are constantly learning through play, discovery, communication and being active and creative. They are able to do this indoors and outdoors, with free-flow access to the garden and outdoor space. The different environments allow the children to explore in an environment that suits them and their chosen learning style. All activities and learning are planned in accordance with the children’s particular interests and needs. With adult support, children are able to acquire and practise new skills, problem solve, take risks and develop their social awareness.
